Research

I rarely find as much time for research as I would like, but I have a long-standing interest in the intersection of music, mathematics, computer science and artificial intelligence. My background is in computational musicology, and projects such as Deep Improv continue to explore these ideas through music, programming and improvisation.

Here are some of the things I am currently interested in, along with a selection of research, writing and experiments from recent years.
